Ageno is a Malvasia blend named after one of winemaker Elena Pantaleoni's ancestors. She lets the juice macerate with the grape skins for an extended period (a very unusual approach to vinification of white wine). The resulting wine is intensely flavored and fragrant, rich in color and taste. Ageno is best served to cleanse the palate between courses.
