Winemaker and owner of Ronco dei Tassi Fabio Coser was so pleased with the harvest for 2004 that he decided to bottle all of his white grapes as monovarietal (i.e., single-grape) wines. Of course, the Sauvignon, like the Malvasia and Tocai Friulano, also went into his famous Fosarin (which won him the award).
